wind up creature 'katita'

invented by brazilian designer chico bicalho, the ‘critters’ in
this collectable series are funny, quirky mechanical animals that
jiggle, crawl, wobble and dance and make you smile.

katita was named after a small brazilian mutt in rio who had just
given birth to a litter of six puppies. she became a a national
hero for having saved the life of a three-year old boy who was
being mauled by two vicious pit bulls. she was very badly hurt
after fending off the beasts, but survived. this creature pays
homage to her courage.
